Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the United States. Since the mid 80s, Angela Evelyn has worked in television and film. The actress has won several awards, among them the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was born in New York New York and was raised by her aunt who lived in Winston-Salem North Carolina. When Bassett was five years old the family moved from the city of St. Petersburg, Florida where they lived with their mother, who was divorced from their father. Bassett was in high school when she saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal to become an actor come true. Yale University New Haven Connecticut awarded her a bachelor's degree (1980) with a focus on African American study, and a graduate degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American Studies) in the year 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie, i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
